SKILLS MAINTENANCE DATES FOR 2022-2023 Season

Proficiency Day 1: 04 September 2022 @ 8:30am
Proficiency Day 2: 9 October 2022 @ 8:30am
Proficiency Day 3: 05 November 2021 @ 8:30am
Proficiency Day 4: 04 December 2022 @ 8:30am
Proficiency Day 5 – ONLY if required: 11 December 2022 @ 8:30am

Any Member not proficient by 31 December cannot Patrol for the rest of the season.

If these dates do not suit – go to the Point Danger Branch calendar (link below) to see other clubs’ dates. Contact cto@bilingaslsc.com to organise your proficiency at another club. You can not just turn up – permission must be sort & paper work generated.

Skills Maintenance Theory

All Active Patrolling and Award Members (including Age Manages with just the Observers Certificate and Water Safety with SRC) will need to complete the 2022/2023 Skills Maintenance theory paper online BEFORE attending the Proficiency.

If you are over 18 Years you must hold a current Blue Card BEFORE you can Patrol.

If you have turned 18 during the off season or are a new member – you must complete the CYRMS Training & the complete SLSA Safeguarding Children and Young People Awareness Course before applying for the Working with Children card. This is a State requirement.

If you are coming back after a 12 months break – don’t forget that you need to get a swim time signed
