To Our Dedicated Club Members and Community Members.

We are in an ever-changing world at present with the current Pandemic. It was only couple of weeks ago that our club celebrated the achievements of our Nippers and no one would have imagined what was in front of us as we see it today.

Our club is not going away we have been around since 1938 and when we get to the end of this current problem we will still be here. We will come back bigger, stronger and once again be able to enjoy what our Club offers you, our members.

I want to take this opportunity to give you some information updates that the current situation has given us to deal with as a Club.

As a club we must appreciate that our disruptions fade into insignificance with what is occurring around us on a daily basis in the wider community. We are all in this together and your health and safety are paramount to us.

On Thursday 26 March 2020 there is a PDB teleconference with all the Presidents and Club Captains to discuss and decide our ongoing future strategies to provide a patrol service to the community up to the end of the season on Monday 4 May 2020.

At this stage our Club will continue with our minimum patrol requirements as implemented last weekend. Our patrolling members will be advised of any changes which will come from the teleconference on Friday 27 March 2020.

Our Easter Roster will be further reviewed as the changes occur and/or any further restrictions advised by the Government. It is apparent that Stage 3 restrictions will be introduced by the Government in the near future.

If you are not contacted by me, or our Club Captain Tremayne, or Vice-Captain Patrick or Dept Predident Lynne, regarding patrol duties DO NOT travel down the M1 to do a patrol as you will asked to turn around and go back home.

Our club is now closed to all non-essential personnel which includes patrol member friends and family members, this does NOT include rostered active patrol members.

All training and other lifesaving activities outside patrol duties are now cancelled for season 2019/20.

Our Dinner and Presentation Night scheduled for the 11 July 2020 is now cancelled.

We have at this stage moved our AGM date to Saturday 20June 2020, but this is solely determined by any future directions and restrictions advised by Government.

We have a legislative requirement to conduct an Annual General Meeting and I will inform you of any further changes regarding the meeting.

As a result of the Federal Government direction relating to Clubs, licensed premises our function area was closed on the 23/3/20 until further notice.

We are faced with challenging times in the months ahead and developments of the coronavirus change by the hour. We need you now to stay safe and healthy and if there is no need for you to travel to the club please stay home with your family.

It is paramount that as a club we minimise the risk of spreading or gaining the infection and be proactive during this Pandemic.

Be strong, listen to the messages from our Government leaders on what to do and we will all get to the other side.

As updated information is received, we will forward that information on you.

I appreciate your support, cooperation and please look after yourself.

If you have any inquiries or need assistance with anything please contact me.

Stay safe and healthy.
